DOROTHY C. OLIVER is a 1967 graduate of Sevier High School in Ferriday, LA, where she graduated valedictorian of her class. She graduated from Copiah Lincoln Junior College in Natchez, MS, with a Special Honors AA Degree.  At Co-Lin, she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.  She is a 2010 Human Resource Management graduate of Ashworth College (Norcross, GA), where she was also a member of Delta Epsilon Tau Honor Society. In 1996, Dorothy continued her education at the University of New Orleans Metropolitan College Grant Writing Seminar, and furthered her education at the Executive Development Institute of Tennessee State University in May 1997.

Dorothy C. Oliver has worked diligently in the Northeastern parishes of Louisiana for more than 40 years, and she currently serves as the Executive Director of the LaSalle Community Action Association, Inc. of Harrisonburg, LA.  During her tenure at LaSalle CAA, she has served in the capacities of Secretary to Head Start Director, Program Planner/Monitor, Program Planner/JTPA Supervisor, Deputy Director/Planner, Head Start Director, and currently, Executive Director. 

Dorothy C. Oliver is a true and influential leader who exemplifies honor, integrity, and courage each day. Her actions inspire others to accomplish more and reach to attain every goal possible. Director Oliver is a leader who goes the distance to ensure that not only her staff receive the best service and guidance possible, but also her clients and those she loves and cares for in her city and region.
