LaSalle Community Action Association, Incorporated is a nonprofit corporation incorporated under the laws of the State of Louisiana. The Association is governed by a Board of Directors duly elected by members. The Association operates as a community action agency administering various federal and state funded programs designed to provide assistance to the poor and disadvantaged in various parishes in Louisiana. The following programs, with their approximate percentage of total revenues indicated, are administered by the Association:
- Community Services Block Grant (4%)
- Emergency Food and Shelter (0.4%)
- Weatherization Program (2%)
- Head Start Program (42%)
- Head Start Food Reimbursement Program (3%)
- Section 8 Housing Assistance Program (2%)
- WIA (10%)
- LlHEAP Energy Assistance (13%)
- S.T.E.P. (0.2%)
- General Assistance and Other Programs (0.4 %)
